GOSPEL ACCLAMATION
John 16: 7, 13
Alleluia.
I will send the Spirit of truth to you, says the Lord; he will guide you into all the truth.
Alleluia.
There is something deeply consoling in this promise: “I will send the Spirit of truth to you.” Jesus does not leave His disciples to find their own way through confusion, fear, and weakness. He gives them the Holy Spirit not only to comfort them, but to guide them.
And that matters, because the heart can so easily lose its way.
The Spirit is called the Spirit of truth because He leads us not into illusion, but into what is real, holy, and lasting. He keeps the soul close to Christ. He teaches, corrects, strengthens, and gives light when our own understanding is not enough.
This Alleluia is full of hope. It reminds us that God does not ask us to walk blindly. He gives His own Spirit to lead us, so that even in a confused world, the faithful heart may still find the way of truth.
