Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly

Alleluia.
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
Alleluia.

There is something quietly beautiful in this Alleluia: “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly.” It reminds us that God’s word is not meant to pass lightly through the ear and disappear. It is meant to remain, to take root, and to shape the whole inner life.

When the word of Christ truly dwells in a person, it begins to change how they think, pray, endure, and love. It gives light in confusion, strength in weakness, and gratitude even in ordinary days.

That is why the verse joins His word with thanksgiving. A heart filled with Christ’s word does not stay empty or restless for long. It begins, little by little, to become a grateful heart.
