Alleluia.
May the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ enlighten the eyes of our hearts that we might know what is the hope to which he has called us.
Alleluia.
There is a beautiful prayer hidden within this Alleluia. We often ask God to change our circumstances, but Saint Paul reminds us that we first need God to enlighten the eyes of our hearts.
When our hearts are illuminated by His grace, we begin to see beyond our fears, disappointments, and uncertainties. We start to recognize the hope that God has planted within us, a hope that is not based on passing circumstances, but on His promises.
The Christian life is not simply about knowing facts about God. It is about seeing life through the light of Christ and discovering the hope to which He has called us. That hope never disappoints because it rests in Him.
Alleluia.
