Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven

This short acclamation carries a powerful message of Christian hope. Jesus does not promise that the path of discipleship will always be easy, but He assures us that every sacrifice made for God, every act of faithfulness, and every trial endured for what is right has eternal value.

“Rejoice and be glad” is an invitation to look beyond present difficulties and fix our eyes on the promise of heaven. The world often measures success by what we gain here and now, but Christ reminds us that the greatest reward is life with Him forever. When we live faithfully, even in challenges, our hearts are strengthened by the certainty that God’s promises never fail and that our true treasure awaits us in heaven.
