Constantly seek the Lord’s face

“Constantly seek the Lord’s face.” (Psalm 105)

To seek the Lord’s face is to desire more than His blessings, it is to desire His presence. The psalm reminds us that faith is not simply about turning to God when life becomes difficult. It is about walking with Him every day, allowing Him to guide our thoughts, our decisions, and our hearts.

There are many things that compete for our attention. Success, possessions, worries, and endless distractions can easily draw us away from what truly matters. Yet the psalm gently calls us back to the One who never changes. God’s face is always turned toward His people, inviting us to trust Him more deeply and to remember the countless ways He has remained faithful throughout history and in our own lives.

To seek the Lord constantly does not require extraordinary moments. It begins with simple acts, a sincere morning prayer, a few quiet minutes before the Blessed Sacrament, reading a passage of Scripture, offering forgiveness, or choosing kindness when it is difficult. These ordinary moments become places where we encounter God and allow His grace to shape us.

The more we seek the Lord, the more we begin to see the world through His eyes. Our fears give way to hope, our restlessness to peace, and our uncertainty to confidence in His loving providence. We discover that the greatest treasure we can possess is not found in what we own, but in living each day close to the heart of God.

Today, let this refrain become the prayer of your heart:

“Constantly seek the Lord’s face.”

For those who seek Him with sincerity will never walk alone, for the Lord is always near to those who place their hope in Him.
