Response: “O Lord, you have snatched my soul lest it perish.”

This psalm is the prayer of someone who has reached the limits of human strength and discovered that God’s mercy is greater than every fear. It reminds us that even when we feel overwhelmed by suffering, weakness, or the consequences of our sins, the Lord never stops looking upon us with compassion.
