“If We Love One Another, God Abides in Us”

This Gospel Acclamation reminds us that love is one of the clearest signs of God’s presence within us. Our faith is not proved only by the prayers we say or the truths we know, but also by the way we treat the people God places in our lives.

Christian love goes deeper than affection. It means choosing patience when someone tests us, forgiveness when we have been hurt, kindness when nothing will be gained in return, and mercy when it would be easier to condemn.

When we love in this way, we allow God to work through us. His love begins to shape our words, our decisions and even the way we see those who are difficult to love.

Today, the invitation is simple but demanding: let someone encounter the love of God through the way you treat them. For where genuine love is lived, God is not far away. He abides there.
