Blest Be the Lord, My Rock!
This response from Psalm 144 speaks of a faith that has found something solid to stand on.
Life can shift quickly. Plans change, people disappoint us, strength fades, and certainty can disappear almost overnight. Yet the psalmist turns to God and calls Him “my rock” because God remains firm when everything else feels unstable.
To call the Lord our rock is to say: You are the One I can lean on when I do not have the strength to hold myself together. You are the One who steadies me when fear, confusion, or weakness begin to take over.
The psalm also reminds us how small and fragile human life can be. We are passing, limited, and dependent upon God far more than we sometimes admit.
And perhaps that is why this response is so powerful:
“Blest be the Lord, my rock!”
It is not merely praise. It is trust.
A quiet declaration that whatever today brings, God remains steady.
