“The Spirit of truth will bear witness to me, says the Lord; and you also are witnesses.”
This Gospel Acclamation reminds us that faith is never meant to remain hidden. The Holy Spirit first bears witness to Christ within our hearts, helping us recognize who Jesus is and giving us the courage to remain faithful to Him.
But the verse also places a responsibility on us: “you also are witnesses.” Our lives should say something about Christ. The way we speak, forgive, serve, remain honest, and stand for what is right can become a quiet testimony to the Gospel.
We do not witness by our own strength alone. The Spirit of truth works within us, giving wisdom when we are uncertain and courage when faith becomes difficult.
Today, may we ask the Holy Spirit to make our lives a clear and faithful witness to Jesus.
Alleluia.
