“From the Lord comes the salvation of the just.”

Psalm 37 speaks to those moments when doing what is right seems difficult and trusting God feels harder than taking matters into our own hands. Its answer is beautifully simple: “Trust in the Lord and do good.”
Our security does not ultimately come from having everything under control. It comes from knowing who holds our lives. When we entrust our way to God, we are not promised a life without hardship, but we are promised that we do not face it alone.
The Psalm also reminds us that faith must shape the way we live. Trusting God means turning away from evil, choosing what is good, remaining faithful when no one is watching, and refusing to let disappointment change the kind of person we are called to be.
There will be seasons when God’s help seems distant, but His silence should never be mistaken for His absence. The Lord remains the refuge of those who seek Him, their strength in times of trouble and, ultimately, their salvation.
That is the quiet confidence of today’s response:
“From the Lord comes the salvation of the just.”
