Their Sound Goes Forth Through All the Earth
Psalm 19 reminds us that God is never without a witness. Before a single word is spoken, creation itself points beyond itself to the One who made it. The heavens, the rhythm of day and night, and the beauty and order of the world quietly proclaim that everything we see has its source in God.
Yet for Christians, these words carry an even deeper meaning. The Good News entrusted to the Apostles was never meant to remain among a small group of believers. It was meant to go forth through all the earth. Their voices carried the name of Christ beyond familiar places, across cultures and generations, until the Gospel eventually reached us.
Now that same responsibility has been placed in our hands. We may never travel to distant nations as the Apostles did, but our lives can still speak. Through our words, our choices, our mercy, our courage and the way we love others, Christ can become known wherever God has placed us.
The Gospel reached us because someone before us was willing to carry it forward. May it never stop with us.
