The Psalmist’s song is not born from a life without trials, but from a heart that has learned to recognize God’s faithfulness in every season. To sing of the Lord’s mercies is to remember that His love remains constant, even when circumstances change.
When we proclaim, “I will sing forever of your mercies, O Lord,” we choose gratitude over discouragement and hope over fear. Every blessing received, every prayer answered, every moment of strength in weakness is another reminder that God’s mercy never grows old. It accompanies us each day, inviting us to trust Him more deeply and to praise Him with joyful hearts.
Responsorial Psalm is taken from Psalm 89: 2 – 3, 16 – 17, 18 – 19 (Response.) 2a
And the response is “I will sing forever of your mercies, O Lord.“
