Lord, turn your ear to me; hear my words

Lord, Turn Your Ear to Me; Hear My Words

This response from Psalm 17 is the prayer of someone who knows that God is not distant from the cries of the heart.

There are moments when we do not have polished words, only the need to be heard. The psalm reminds us that prayer does not depend on eloquence. What matters is that we come before God sincerely and trust that He listens.

“Lord, turn your ear to me; hear my words” is a simple prayer of confidence. It says: Lord, see what I am carrying. Hear what I cannot fully explain. Stay close to me in this moment.

God already knows our needs, but prayer draws us into relationship with Him. It teaches us to place our fears, hopes, pain, and desires into His hands.

And sometimes the greatest comfort is not that every problem is immediately solved, but that we know we are not speaking into silence. God hears. God sees. God remains near.
