Never forget the deeds of the Lord

Response: “Never forget the deeds of the Lord!”
(Taken from Psalm 78:56–57, 58–59, 61–62; Response: 7b)

The Psalm is both a reminder and a warning. It recalls how easily God’s people forgot His goodness after experiencing His countless blessings. When gratitude faded, their hearts slowly drifted away from Him. The same temptation exists today. We can become so focused on today’s worries that we forget yesterday’s graces.

To remember the deeds of the Lord is more than recalling events from the past. It is choosing every day to trust the God who has never stopped being faithful. Every answered prayer, every moment of protection, every act of mercy, and every unexpected blessing becomes a testimony that God is still at work in our lives.

A grateful heart remembers where it has been led, and that remembrance gives it the courage to keep following the Lord with confidence, even when the road ahead is uncertain.!
