There is a joyful confidence in this Psalm’s response: “O Jerusalem, glorify the Lord!”
Praise is the natural response of a heart that recognizes God’s goodness. The Psalm recalls how the Lord protects His people, blesses them with peace, and provides for their needs. It is a reminder that God’s care is not distant or occasional; it is constant and faithful.
Like Jerusalem, we are called to remember the countless ways God has guided us, strengthened us, and remained with us through every season of life. Gratitude opens our eyes to His presence and turns our hearts toward praise.
When we glorify the Lord, we are not adding to His greatness; we are acknowledging it. The more we recognize His blessings, the more we discover that every good gift ultimately comes from His loving hand.
“O Jerusalem, glorify the Lord!” is an invitation for all of us to make thanksgiving a daily habit and praise a way of life.
