There is a beautiful humility in this prayer: “O Lord, make me know your ways.”
The psalmist does not ask God to bless his own plans, but to teach him God’s. It is the prayer of a heart that recognizes that true wisdom is found not in following our own path, but in walking the path that the Lord reveals.
Every day presents us with choices, uncertainties, and crossroads. This Psalm reminds us that we do not journey alone. God desires to guide those who seek Him with sincerity. When we place our trust in His wisdom rather than our own understanding, we discover that His ways always lead toward truth, peace, and life.
The first step in following God is often the simplest: asking Him to show us the way.
