Response: “O Lord, you are good and forgiving.”

This psalm is a beautiful reminder that God’s mercy is never exhausted. No matter how often we stumble or how far we may have wandered, the Lord’s heart remains open to all who turn to Him with sincerity. His goodness is not earned by our perfection but freely given because of His unfailing love.
When we pray, “O Lord, you are good and forgiving,” we are placing our trust in a Father who delights not in condemning His children, but in restoring them. His forgiveness does more than erase our sins; it renews our hearts, strengthens our faith, and gives us the courage to begin again.
In a world where forgiveness can be difficult to offer and even harder to receive, this psalm invites us to reflect the mercy we have first received from God. As we experience His compassion, we are called to become instruments of that same compassion in our homes, our workplaces, and our communities.
Today, let us approach the Lord with confidence, knowing that His mercy is greater than our weakness and His love is always ready to welcome us home.
