Today’s Psalm invites us to contemplate the beauty of a heart that belongs entirely to God. In the Church’s tradition, these words find a special fulfilment in the Blessed Virgin Mary, who stands before the King not because of earthly power or wealth, but because of her humble and faithful obedience to God’s will. Her true splendour is the grace she received and the love with which she responded.
The Psalm also speaks to every believer. God calls each of us to draw closer to Him with trust and an undivided heart. When we place Christ above everything else, He clothes our lives with a dignity that the world cannot give and cannot take away. True greatness is found not in honour received from others, but in remaining faithful to the One who has called us to share in His Kingdom.
