Teach me your statutes, O Lord

Response: “Teach me your statutes, O Lord.”
Taken from Psalm 119:29, 43, 79, 80, 95, 102 (Response: 68b)

The greatest wisdom we can seek is not found in the opinions of the world, but in the truth that comes from God. When we pray, “Teach me your statutes, O Lord,” we are asking Him to shape our hearts as much as our minds. His commandments are not burdens placed upon us, but a loving guide that leads us to freedom, peace, and lasting joy.

This psalm reminds us that following the Lord is a lifelong journey of learning. Each day brings new opportunities to grow in patience, humility, forgiveness, and trust. The more we allow God’s Word to direct our choices, the more our lives reflect His goodness. A heart willing to be taught by God will never lose its way, for the Lord faithfully leads those who seek Him with sincerity.
