The kingdom of God is at hand; repent, and believe in the Gospel

Alleluia.
The kingdom of God is at hand; repent, and believe in the Gospel.
Alleluia.

The Gospel Acclamation, “The kingdom of God is at hand; repent, and believe in the Gospel,” is both an invitation and a challenge. Jesus reminds us that God’s kingdom is not a distant promise but a living reality that is already breaking into our lives through His presence, His grace, and His saving love.

To repent means more than feeling sorry for our sins. It means turning our hearts back to God, allowing Him to reshape our thoughts, priorities, and actions. It is a daily decision to leave behind whatever separates us from Him and to walk more closely in His ways.

To believe in the Gospel is to place our trust in Christ and in the Good News He proclaims. In a world filled with uncertainty and competing voices, the Gospel calls us to anchor our lives in God’s truth, mercy, and hope.

This brief acclamation is a powerful reminder that every day is an opportunity to draw nearer to the Lord, to renew our faith, and to live as citizens of His kingdom here and now. Alleluia!
