Response: “The Lord is king, the Most High above all the earth.”
(Psalm 97:1 – 2, 5 – 6, 9)
This psalm reminds us that God reigns over all creation with perfect wisdom, justice, and love. His authority is not like the power of earthly rulers that rises and falls with time. His kingdom is eternal, and His faithfulness never changes. Even when the world seems uncertain, we can stand firm because the Lord remains on His throne.
To proclaim that the Lord is King is also to place our lives under His loving guidance. It means trusting that His plans are greater than our own, seeking His will above our personal ambitions, and allowing Him to rule our hearts each day. When Christ truly reigns within us, fear gives way to peace, pride is replaced by humility, and hope becomes stronger than every trial.
