Listen to the Voice of the Lord
“Today, harden not your hearts” is a reminder that God is always speaking, but we are not always ready to listen. Sometimes our hearts become hardened by disappointment, pride, anger, fear, or simply the noise and busyness of everyday life.
The word “today” is important. God does not ask us to wait until everything in our lives is perfect before returning to Him. He calls us now. Today is another opportunity to listen, to forgive, to change direction, and to respond to His grace.
Listening to the Lord is more than hearing His Word. It means allowing that Word to challenge us and change the way we live. Sometimes God tells us what comforts us; at other times, He tells us what we would rather not hear.
May we have hearts humble enough to recognise His voice and courageous enough to follow wherever He leads.
