“The Lord speaks of peace for his people.”
Psalm 85 reminds us that God’s peace is not simply the absence of trouble. It is the deep assurance that comes from knowing we are held by Him, even when life feels uncertain.
The psalm speaks of mercy, faithfulness, justice, and peace meeting together. It shows us that true peace grows where hearts are turned toward God and where people choose what is right, merciful, and faithful.
We often look for peace by trying to control everything around us, but the Lord offers something deeper: peace within the soul. A peace that can remain even when circumstances are difficult, because it rests not on comfort, but on trust.
Today, may we listen carefully for the Lord’s voice and allow His peace to shape the way we speak, forgive, decide, and treat one another.
