Alleluia.
Watch at all times, praying that you may be able to stand before the Son of man.
Alleluia.
This Gospel Acclamation is a call to spiritual readiness. Jesus reminds us that faith is not something we switch on only when life becomes difficult; it is a way of living with our hearts awake to God each day.
To watch does not mean living in fear. It means staying attentive, guarding our hearts, and refusing to let distractions, sin, or complacency slowly pull us away from the Lord. Prayer keeps us rooted in Him and gives us the strength to remain faithful when we are tested.
To be able to stand before the Son of Man is to live in such a way that, whenever Christ comes, we are found trusting Him, seeking Him, and walking in His grace.
May we live today with watchful hearts, steady faith, and a prayerful spirit.
Alleluia.
