Your Word Is a Lamp for My Feet, Lord
This response from Psalm 119 reminds us that God does not always show us the whole road ahead. Often, He gives us just enough light for the next step.
His Word becomes that light. It corrects us when we are drifting, steadies us when we are uncertain, and helps us recognize the difference between what merely feels right and what is truly good.
There are seasons when the path is clear, and others when it is not. In those moments, faith means trusting the light God has already given us.
“Your word is a lamp for my feet, Lord” is a prayer of dependence: Lord, keep me from walking by impulse, fear, pride or confusion. Let Your truth guide where I step next.
We may not see far ahead, but if His Word is lighting the path beneath our feet, we are not walking in darkness.
