The Holy Spirit does not simply remind us of Christ’s words; He helps us understand them and live them when life becomes difficult or uncertain. Jesus knew there would be moments when His disciples would struggle to know what to do, so He promised them a Teacher who would remain with them.
This promise is also for us. In prayer, in Scripture, in the teachings of the Church, and even in the quiet movements of conscience, the Holy Spirit continually draws our hearts back to Jesus. When we feel confused, discouraged, or unsure of the way forward, we can ask Him to bring Christ’s words to mind and give us the grace to follow them.
May we learn to listen more closely, because the Holy Spirit still teaches, still reminds, and still leads hearts toward the truth.
